Leon Scott Kennedy (c) Capcom

Resident Evil 4 for PC is out for some time (at least in Europe and Asia). The port has its flaws (big ones), mainly in graphics - someone forgot to implement shaders in the game, so everything is shadowless and looks dull.

But, the PC version also have its pluses: 1. you have access to almost every texture and sound it the game (moding is a good thing :D), 2. you can easily extract models (as well as whole scenes) from the game using 3D Ripper DX ([link]).

And that's how this wallpaper came into being: retexturing Leon and extracting him from the game ;]

yo dude, would you mind actually making a video tutorial or something on how to use 3d Ripper DX? i know its weird to ask just some random guy i dont even know, but it would really help me and a friend out. i cant really find anything anywhere.

Sorry for such a late response, but recently I haven't got much time.
I don't know if I can make a video tutorial, but I'll try at least make a photo-tutorial or something.
But mind you, I'm just an amateur when it comes to 3d graphics - I only know basics ;).
i understand man, haha, life moves fast.

dude, totally. that would rule, and i hardly care, all i need to know is the whole ripping the model and putting into maya bit. anything past that makes it all the better, but thats all me and my buddy really need. thanks for responding actually, i didn't think you would! most 3d artists seem to never respond to questions for some reason.
